IPRI Ranking-Thailand ranked 65tin out of the 129 countries that were included in the Intellectual Property Rights Index.
Perceived Transparency Score–A perceived lack of transparency is one major obstacle standing in the way of Thailand’s progress towards economic leadership. In 2019 Thailand ranked 104tH in Transparency International’s Global Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), down by five spots from its ranking in 2018.Unfortunately, transparency is one arena in which Thailand has not made consistent improvements owing, perhaps, in part to the social and political instability that existed in the country between 2014 and 2019. However, one of the twelve major priorities of the newly formed government is to prevent corruption, and as measures are put in place to further this cause, transparency, too, will be uplifted in Thai society.
